The 10 Commend-ments
1 How?
Everyting starts with a dream. Imagine a holiday with adventure, romance, & where distance/climate is not really a subject. Freedom & venture is on the top of the list. Value for money & fun also, and a degree of comfort rubbed in. (all vans have central heating)
2 Where?
How about a week adventure in the Netherlands, Terschelling for example. Or Germany and 10 days in Bernkastel in the area of the Mosel Valley. Go 2 weeks to Iona, Scotland. In all three, the driving is minimal, the experience is fabulous. Here we could write a book. Stay local is our motto, because we live in the most beautiful spot in the world!
3 When?
Pick a time when you have the time. You can have 3 days for an adventure weekend, 7 to stretch a bit further, 10 days, you can go a bit beyond and longer, as you like. At D&D we have several options, 3, 7, 14 or 21 days. It’s your choice, we are flexible.
4 Booking
Click on Booking, you will see an availability calendar. Click on the date that you would like to travel. Then up pops a provisional booking form. Fill in all the on-line details and press send. Your adventure is about to start.
Within 36 hours, you will get a reply (at latest). We do our uttermost to be responsive as fast as possible.
We will respond with a provisional booking for you, we invite you to pay a deposit. Another form to fill out, but these procedures have to happen. We keep it simple.
4 Your reservation
Within 48 hours of your dream, the drive should be in order. By now, you have paid your deposit, filled in all the boring bits & your VW T3 is reserved for you. You can go back to dreaming again.
5 Contact
Before departure, if you or we appreciate it, we can make an appointment for a personal contact with you. Just a chat to make sure we are all talking in the same language & are agreed on final details. At this point, you can ask any questions you like. You will be introduced to the VW camper you are getting for your vacation (if it's not a trip) and be given a full instruction manual of the van to enjoy before your final pickup. All of this is to make sure you start your venture with familiar hands.
6 Packing
Think Minimum. Everything is available everywhere. Think warm clothes & underwear. A tooth brush plus good boots. Bring your bicycle & a poncho, a book & your i-phone. This is 2015. The cars are fully equipped, we supply bedding & towels, blankets & essentials. We do adults, you do the kids. We rent walking sticks, big GPS, extra tent etc. Just ask. 7 Pick Up
We will mutually arrange a pick up time. You may leave your car with us while you are travelling. During the pickup, we check final details, give you a thorough tour of your van and answer any questions you may still have. (full details are in Rules of the Game, section 9).
8 Music
No D&D experience would be complete without music! You get Hi-Fi, bluetooth, hands-free calling & music streaming. Your van might be classic, the fittings are modern.
9 Dream & Drive
Go and have a great time, take your time & enjoy.
10. Return.
You’ve had an adventure! (another book). We’ve agreed a time to return the van & that is basically it.
Notes
There are important details in the section Rules of the Game. We ask you to read them thoroughly, just so we all agree. Whilst we do our best to detail everything clearly and articulately, there is no excuse for ‘I didn’t know‘ or ‘forgot to ask’. We trust our clients as intelligent. We are always open to talk to each-other so PLEASE, remember this at all times. Your pleasure is our success.
