Why Pick Us?
That’s a very good question. Answer = because of us 
As the owner of Dream & Drive (now 54) I’ve worked for years with Aston-Martin & Jaguar classic cars and have driven the VW-T3 Westfalia’s since I was 22.
I’m English, but understand the Dutch standards & culture well. My focus with Dream & Drive is on precision & details. I like things to be ‘right’ the Dutch way. Period.
There are other ‘camper-hire’ companies around who seem to hire scruffy, old looking vans at comparable prices. These often big time shows are for me ‘sub-standard’. I’ve seen damage, broken materials, dirty presentation, poor standards & stressed staff that don’t even see you when you walk into their showrooms.
None of these factors impress, but they do motivate me.
I won’t accept this for me (or my company) or for you as our client.
Being small is about being detailed.
Firstly, our clients get full attention on a one on one basis. Also we truly aspire to making the fleet as ‘good as it gets’. For example, you will find a modern, efficient heating system in all our vans. Even in the summer, a good warm up can be essential. You’ll find efficient modern hands free facilities for hi-fi & telephone. You’ll find a good and well thought out basic package, including bedding, pillows, towels & a fully equipped kitchen. The concept of D&D is a total package, with the least of packing required. Think warm clothes, good boots and your bicycle perhaps. Little else you will need as everything can be found on the way. That adds to the excitement of camping with a Classic VW Westfalia. From mild to wild, you can enjoy yourself. All you need is imagination and a bit of common sense.
Further more, I know & have experience of many many years of camping with the T3. Putting a back pack on my back with a tent was fine when I was 18, but after 22 I preferred a proper bed and staying dry. The T3 offers those sorts of comforts (like the heating) that in raw camping you won’t get. It’s a sort of compromise between mild & wild, but still miles away from the expensive & impersonal world of hotel touring.
Other point to note is that we love what we do. Dream & Drive has been born out of a choice & we enjoy to share this choice with you.
So, in principal, that’s why I think you should hire a van from us, because we love it & You'll love it too!
